I. Introduction
Pak-Turk Maarif International sponsored Pakistan’s largest mathematical competition “Mathematics Olympiad”, which took place on Sunday, November 27th, 2022 at 10:00 am.
A. Overview of Pak-Turk Maarif International’s sponsorship of Pakistan’s largest Mathematics Olympiad
The nationwide Olympiad was held simultaneously in 65 exam centers across 35 cities, divided into 8 regions. This year, MISMO (Mathematics International Olympiad) extended its academic scope and welcomed grade 4 students to compete for the first time.
B. Details about the Olympiad, including date, time, and locations
The event was also held for the first time in Sialkot, Toba Tek Singh, Sakardu, and Gilgit Baltistan, and a total of 17,109 candidates participated in MISMO 2022 for the first ten positions in their respective regions and grades.
C. Information on the inclusion of grade 4 students in the competition
Parents of the participants commended Pak-Turk Maarif for organizing a well-managed and high-quality event that trained students for future endeavors. They also emphasized the importance of mathematics in software engineering and the economy. Students expressed their excitement and hope for the final results, with one student saying MISMO is well-organized and another expressing their desire for more such events in other subjects.
D. Number of participants and their respective regions and grades
the top scorer from Grade 8 is entitled as “The Al-Khwarizimi of Pakistan.” Region-wise top-ten positions will also be recognized with cash prizes.

A. Positive feedback from parents about the well-managed and high-quality event
The participants, on the other hand, were joyful with enthusiasm, and their bright smiles were proof of their amazing Olympiad experience.
B. Excitement and hope for the final results from participating students
Salman, a Grade 6 student from Beaconhouse School System, expressed his delight and confidence in the well-organized MISMO event. He was eager to participate and secure a top position in Pakistan.

Similarly, Arwa Mohsin from Maktab voiced her anticipation for the final results, having prepared for the exam for several days. She was left speechless by the massive turnout and level of competition at the national level and suggested that similar events should be held for other subjects.
3. Results and Awards
A. Availability of question booklets and answers on MISMO’s digital portal
The MISMO Digital Portal has already uploaded the Question Booklets and their answers for all to view and verify.
B. Date of the announcement of the final results
The final results will be announced online on 23rd December 2022.
C. Cash prizes for top performers in each academic category
The top three high scorers in each academic category will be recognized at the national level and awarded PKR 75000/-, 50000/- and 25000/- respectively,
D. Title of “The Al-Khwarizimi of Pakistan” for top scorer from Grade 8
while the top scorer from Grade 8 will be given the title of ‘The Al-Khwarizimi of Pakistan’.
E. Region-wise top ten positions and their corresponding cash prizes
Additionally, the region-wise top ten positions will be announced and rewarded with PKR 15000/-, 10000/-, and 7000/- for the top three positions, with 4th to 10th positions receiving PKR 5000/- each.
